I specialize in representing my clients in the purchases and sales of single-family residences, condos and income property on the Island of O'ahu. I keep current of transactions in these areas, and I'm also very knowledgeable with the local schools.
Personal
Joleen K. Young Dias – President and Principal Broker of Island Style Realty, Inc. was born and raised on the Waianae Coast of Oahu. Joleen has a colorful background of experience – ranging from retail sales/management to bookkeeping. She has a Bachelor degree in Business Administration with a focus in Accounting from the University of Hawai’i.
Joleen obtained her Real Estate License in May of 2001 and started her career with the intentions of being part-time. As everything else in her life she was not able to “take it easy” and instead found herself “going the extra mile”, “taking the extra step”.
In 2002 Joleen was nominated and won the Honolulu Board of Realtor’s Aloha A’ina Award as “Newcomer of the Year” In 2004 Joleen was again nominated for the “People’s Choice” category and in 2005 was nominated for the “Realtor’s Choice” category.
Joleen knew early on that this was the ideal career for her and began taking continuing education classes to learn more to better serve her clients. Joleen has earned the following accreditations Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), and Graduate of the Realtor’s Institute (GRI) designations as well as obtaining her broker’s license. In Late 2004 Joleen decided to explore opening her own office – once again with the intensions of staying small and working from home. In February of 2005 she and her husband made that happen – Island Style Realty, Inc opened for business. In no time she found that she had outgrown her little home office and with a few agents wanting to join the team has expanded and opened an office in Wahiawa.
With a philosophy of “helping other achieve what they want in life” and “treat people the way I would want to be treated” Joleen has managed to increase her business through referrals. After just a few short years in the business – close to 90% of her clients are referrals from past clients as well as family and friends. Joleen is an expert in her field and is ALWAYS looking out for her client’s best interest!
